Following Palsdottir, Sempik, Bird and van den Bosch (2017), Nature Based Interventions (NBI) aim to provide meaningful activities and structured routines during states of ill health. We include in this definition also preventive measures and health and wellbeing promotion. Nature based interventions always take place in natural environments, be it as they may forests, gardens, parks, beaches, agricultural landscapes or farms, among others. Though various activities come to question, they all take place out in nature.
On these pages, we display a collection of Forest Therapy and Garden Therapy initiatives taking place in Belgium. If you know of an initiative or an organization that should be listed, please contact katriina@natureminded.be
